I've been putting Dean Markley 009 on all my guitars for the last 20 years or so. I was even in a band that had a sponsership thru Dean Markley. IMO, my Strats all sound great with Dean Markleys 009. So I go to Guitar Center to buy my usual 3 packs, and was told they no longer carry Dean Markley because they're not very popular. So, other than going back to Ernie Ball strings or DeAddairrio Strings, what are some good options?

I was on ebay before I read your post. All the Dean Markley strings you'd ever want there and at better than GC prices I'd bet too. :)

Huh? There's no indication that I can see that GC is dropping Dean Markley:

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Dean-Markley.gc

Note that a dozen of the strings have the "Best Seller" marker.

When I played in punk bands I used to run Deam Markley Bass Skullbusters. Great strings. I'm sure GC carries them on line, but it's not unheard of for the physical stores to only carry what sells. Our nearest GC doesn't stock flats for bass. At all. Not Fender, Roto, Thomastik, or LaBella. It's pretty bad.

Reverend Willy's Mexican Lottery Strings, made by Dunlop. 8) Feel great, sound better.

You won't find them in stock at GC, though. :|

I'd avoid Guitar Center like the clap and shop online. Problem solved, and you don't have to deal with the idiots who obviously work there (and other locations, it seems) and get what you need.

Pyramid Pure Nickel Round Wound - recently started using these and best strings I've ever played!

Order from linked supplier and no tax.

I usually use Fender Bullets. Sometimes Dean Markley Blue Steel.
