Over the weekend I did some thinking about the bridge issue I had with the BadAss II.

Then it hit me. Why not move the Bridge up closer to the neck so that the cover will work? I looked at the Bass and the Bridge carefully. I made a template and used it to drill new mounting holes. The bridge would now sit 5/8 in. closer the the neck. The back of the bridge would be in the exact same spot as the stock bridge. The saddles on the new bridge have enough travel in them so intonation would work. I did have to change the saddle intonation screws and springs to have them go back as much as needed, but it works!!!!!!!

So the BadAss II Bass Bridge is mounted to my bass and the Bridge Cover will mount and cover as it was intended.

You just made me shiver with the thought of doing all that to your bass. I'd never try something like that.

It was actually all pretty simple. I have no problems doing this kind of thing.

I know you don't. You're good. I'm too scared to do anything like that on my own. I'd have to have some kind of teacher of class before I would even attempt it.

I don't know if I'm good or just lucky. I do have fun doing these things though.
