so ... musicians who hang out on garages and smoke the funny stuff are never successful? Really?

Watch the movie "Pearl Jam: Twenty" to (1) see an awesome movie about a great band and (2) see the importance of chemistry. They just celebrated their 25th anniversary and their new album was no. 1 on iTunes in about 242 countries even though it's rock and not pop-compromised in any modern type of way.

I generally watch this movie about once a week. It's on netflix (for now).

I was never a huge fan of PJ, but this movie gave me a greater appreciation. Eddie Vedder is a good dude. The rest of them are too.

They all love each other. Love, dude. A great part of the movie is when Eddie tears up talking about the chemistry when he met Jeff Ament (the bassist) -- how they both wanted the same thing: a band that was about music and art, not drugs and partying and goofing off.

And the result was..... GREATNESS.

Edit: Also, Mike McCready is a freakin' *sick* lead guitar player.

+1. I honestly thought this was probably the best band doc I've ever seen.
