Yesterday I went to Guitar Center and picked up this lovely Vox AC15 that I've been eyeing for quite some time now. I love the Fender-y cleans it provides without getting super twangy when I drive it.

Congrats on becoming the owner of one of the best amps ever made.As the owner of 6 Vox amps I guess that you can classify me as a Vox freak, yet I only bought my first AC-15 a year ago.The AC-15 is an incredible amp and it brings out the best in any guitar that is played through it.Be prepared to be spending more time at home because that amp is very addictive and makes you want to spend more and more time getting new tones from it,you may also be struck with the urge to buy a new Casino or Rickenbacker 360/12.

Yeah, this is my first ever tube amp and I'm really loving it. It's great all around and looks really classy.

Also, how did you know that I've been eyeing a Rickenbacker lately?

That looks sweet and that room, inviting. Are you able to turn it up a little without bothering family or neighbors? That's always my first thought as I live in an apartment and never get to turn it up.

Just in case this wasn't meant in jest .... because of the connection between the Beatles and Vox amps. Those were 2 guitar models the Beatles used with their Vox amps with great results. I'd be leaning towards the Casino personally.

Well, I hate to say it but a Rickenbacker and a Casino are basically the same thing and a Vox amp is basically the only amp out there and the Beatles were the only band
that ever truly existed, past and present. That means John, Paul, George and Ringo are all the same people! :P

Unfortunately I live in a townhouse with neighbors on either side, so I can't crank it here (Not to say I haven't tried). I may start taking it to practices to get some good natural power amp overdrive though.

It was half jokingly, but I would like to have a Rickenbacker, even though I'm not incredibly into the Beatles. I know a friend who had one that I tried and it was neat, but I couldn't figure out the controls in the short time I had to play it. I think it's a tone and volume for each pup with a blend and a toggle or something like that.

Happy NAD!

If I were to buy another (production, non-boutique) amp, the AC-15 is in the top two of those choices.

I'd love an AC15, I've been eyeing up one in this colour way recently but really don't need it!
