I've been wondering what kind of Rock people prefer new or old please answer in the poll. If you don't really like either please just answer with which you would rather.

If I had to pick, I'd pick Classic. But I actually like all kinds of music. (Except Rap and Opera)

This and that other thread asking about favorite decade seems to show that rock peaked somewhere in the mid 60's and started to decline in the late 70's. I'm officially a dinosaur.

Classic is hard to beat otherwise it wouldn't be classic.

I feel like a dyno, too.

A while back, I dated one of my younger sister's friends (12 yrs younger, hard-bodied aerobics instructor. Geez, I miss her  . . . but I digress). On one of our dates, we were driving to a restaurant and I pushed the button for the classic rock station. She said, "Oh, you like oldies." I said they weren't oldies when I first heard them. Didn't see her much after that. :(

My taste stretches all the way back into the 50s, because that's what I grew up with. Although there are some modern artists I like (Jack White is an amazing guitarist), the lion's share of tunes on my iPod are older than many of the posters on this forum.
