It's been a long running symbol of hope for my drummer and I since 8th grade.

You could name your band "Optimistic Mallards"...

Cool pic--I guess I missed the addition of "the beater" (or I don't remember)...what is that?

heh, by that I mean it's a long running joke.

It's a 1967 Kingston, MIJ. Nothing special. Action is good with the bridge saddle removed completely. The strings don't make contact with the bridge other than through the pin holes and it sounds really low and mellow. It's a solid guitar for $30.

I'm curious as to what the duck does for tone. Gives a little more "quack" I suppose?

You've never heard an amp fitted with NOS Mallards?

Wow, they're not joking when Orange calls it the "Tiny Terror." I didn't realise how tiny it actually is until seeing it on top of your cab. How do you like that amp?

It's not the Tiny Terror. The Tiny, while small, is bigger.
He's got the Micro Terror. The size isn't completely truthful, as it comes with an external large power brick.
It's a hybrid amp with a single 12AX7 tube in the pre-amp section, which makes it break much warmer than a pure solid state. I had one, and liked it, although it becomes a bit uncontrolled if you try to crank it up too much.

In my experience, that's only if you crank the tone past 8 or so.
