Mike, we can only judge on the basis of your posts here, but it seems like you have a level of positivity about this thing that is amazing and humbling. I wish you power to your elbow.

By the way. Just out of curiosity, I know there is software that can read pages of screen text out loud for blind people. I believe I've heard that this technology has been getting significantly better lately. Is that right? Do you use that stuff, and if so, how is it working for you?

Anything we can do to help on that? For instance, I bet abbreviations like IMHO and such might not work well with reading software, or emoticons. Any little tips, let us know and we'll keep it in mind.

All the best to you -

Ceri (which is pronounced Kerry, you reading software! Smile emoticon.)

Glad to know that things are getting better for you Mike-your positive attitude is inspiring to say the least.I can't help thinking of my fellow Canadian musician Jeff Healey who despite his loss of sight not only became one of the most respected and famous guitarists in the world but also was one of the foremost authorities on blues and jazz music in the world-he had a memory like a bear trap and once he was told something or put an album anywhere in his collection of tens of thousands of old recordings he could pick out any given album in the collection in less than a minute.A really good friend of mine,Jim Fidler had the same hereditary condition that led to Jeff Healey's blindness, yet he is one of the best drummers in the province, plays over a dozen instruments and owns and operates his own successful recording studio he is also married to a commercial artist who is an incredibly beautiful woman both physically and spiritually.

I know that with your positive attitude you will also make good for yourself Mike, you have just the right amount of dedication and drive to get things done no matter what. Good for you and God Bless.
