Well I've finally fulfilled a life goal which I made 15 years ago when I was 10, and am now the proud owner of a Shell Pink guitar :D

More specifically I picked up a used Pawn Shop Offset Special, it was from a used guitar seller and he was offering a 14 day returns policy so I decided to take the punt, as it was half off retail price and I couldn't resist.

Turns out they weren't lying when they said it was in top condition, I don't think it's even been played and still had the factory stickers on the neckplate that you get in Europe, soon as I picked her up I fell in love and she sounds cracking, really well balanced in my opinion. So comfortable too. One of those lucky occasions you fall in love with something as soon as you pick it up.

Anyway you guys don't want to read any of this, you want some porn....

Oh and a family shot for good measure...

Now my family seem to think I have enough guitars, how do I convince them that there is a mighty big Les Paul shaped hole on that wall

Interesting configuration.
Cool!

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Yeah having a Strat and Tele already was cool to have something different, I also didn't have an axe with buckers in so it fit well. I like the pickups because they have some grunt but you can still get nice full sounding chords going without it turning to much which suits my playing a lot.

I also am looking forward to taking the stage this summer with a pink guitar...

The knobs and the pickups look cool together.

Great find. You can't stay in a bad mood if playing this.

Very cool. There aren't many pink guitars that I'd ever consider. But I think it looks good with this model.

I almost bought one once for a breast cancer awareness purpose, but I really just didn't like the guitar as a guitar. I'd sport that one though.

True that, it's a delight to play.

Love that with the cutaway it also feels like a cloud with how light it is.

My wife bought me a pink rugby shirt. The other day I wore it while playing tennis with my friend. That took manliness... and a thick skin. As it turned out.

Anybody who struts a stage with a pink guitar is very cool and has my respect.

Also, P90s are great! :)

Nice catch, Snowjoe. Rock that geet.

Cheers - C

I think every man should reach the point in their life where they are ok with rocking pink things, the first time can be daunting but you have to strut it with confidence

Me and the guys I play with have a song which is a good set opener, big clean guitar chords for the first couple verses then the distortion kicks in for the chorus, I think any preconceptions the audience might have about it being a girly guitar will disappear around the moment I put my foot into my distortion pedal

Congrats on the pink shirt, I'd give it an outing at every opportunity. 8)

Hahaha!

See, that's very similar to what my friend said. C'ept he wondered if my pink shirt was outing me? He asked if I had a matching shade of lipstick to go with it. ...I absolutely slaughtered him on the tennis court that day.

Good. Just so long as you never let a Hello Kitty sticker anywhere near it. There is no amount of self-confidence in the world that can rock that look, no matter how ironic...

Cheers - C

Hello Kitty isn't so bad. Imagine a Prius sticker.
