Back in mid January, I put down a deposit on this beauty. Today I got to go back to the shop and pay the remaining balance and take her home.

It's a 1980 Rickenbacker 360/12 in Fireglo. The finish has faded over the years but it still looks incredible. She was put to immediate use at band practice tonight where all of my band mates were stunned by how good it sounded. This truly is my dream Guitar and I've wanted one for some time.

You can really see how much it's faded next to its 2011 Six String twin.

Grab yourself a hand-wired AC30TB and nail that Petty vibe.

Gorgeous Ric!

Thanks for the close-up of the headstock. Those suckers must be a living $@!&* to re-string... but she's a beauty.

Nice guitar. Enjoy it to the max. For myself, I wish Rickenbacker would do a reissue of the Capri 330/335. My Jone for one is not that severe to want to go $8500 for an original.

You have me red-lining on the envy meter for sure.I have always wanted a 360/12 and a 325V63,they are my dream guitars since I am a card carrying Beatle Fanatic of the highest order. How do you like the high-gain pickups? A lot of people who buy 360/12s or 370/12s replace the high gainers with toaster top reissues,is that in your plans? Either way you have the guitar that started the whole jangle revolution that made such a huge impact on rock and folk rock music-congrats.

One thing I always notice about Ricks is the outstanding fretboards. They seem to be very consistent with that orange color. Very awesome guitar!! Congrats.

Your interest may have been inspired by the Beatles, young'un but my first exposure to a 330 was in the hands of James Burton backing Rick Nelson on one of those Nelson family TV episodes back in the day. I took a double take and said to my self.."WTF!!?!?". Found myself at Manny's on 48th Street shortly thereafter and drew the guitar's shape for Henry. "That's a Rickenbacker'', said he. "Never heard of it!!", said I. But I got the catalog. That guitar was about as far away from me financially as the Strat which belonged to my friend and bandmate Gary. At least I got to play that one from time to time until I bought it from him.
