I am amused by people who always insist that you are paying for the name but they are ignoring the fact that it was higher cost and higher quality components and a higher paid and more experienced workforce that went towards making that name and contributed to the higher costs in the first place. In most cases as with Marshall,Vox,Fender,PRS etc. that name was earned and since turning out a high quality product causes increased costs the higher prices are usually well justified.

So you're thinking they turn out higher quality bluetooth speaker products than say ....Bose? Because you can get a Bose SoundLink II for around $75 cheaper right now.

I don't know if they turn out a better speaker than Bose, maybe they do and maybe they don't.I wasn't talking about strictly the Bluetooth speakers either I was talking about amps in general and that why I mentioned different brands such as Fender,PRS etc. and other reasons why there can be such variations in costs.Of course the Marshall and Bose speakers could be made in different countries of origin-I don't know-but that could be part of the reason for the price discrepancy.

Not all Bose products are top shelf either,a friend of mine bought one of these expensive Bose Wave music systems and I wasn't at all impressed by the sound and have heard $300 Sony and Panasonic shelf systems that had much better sound fidelity so it may be possible that the case with the Bluetooth systems as some of the reviews preferred the Marshall to the Bose system.I am also amused by people who completely miss the point of what I write in my posts in plain English.

As a sound engineer friend of mine used to say: "No highs, no lows. Must be Bose."
