1964. It was an Epiphone acoustical I still have it.

Very cool. I sense a Beatles influence with that date.

Correctomundo.......I grew up in San Francisco........and made the last Beatles concert ever, at Candlestick Park in San Francisco.

Wish I could have seen them, even if I wouldn't have heard them!. I had to settle for Ed Sullivan like everyone else.

At the concert they had some new fangled sound system and I was able to hear then very well. They were good and sounded just like the records. I probably spent more time watching all the girls charging the stage, to see if any of them would make it to the Beatles. A good part of the time, Ringo was looking over his shoulder to make sure security got those girls, before they made it to him. It was all a lot of fun.

I have the 1966 S.F. concert on CD. I also have ALL the Ed Sullivan appearances on DVD.

Take a look in the audience. I was the geeky looking guy in the glasses.

Oh yeah......do you know where I could get a copy of that concert?

Email me.

Microsoft Outlook is giving me grief. Email me at Syeklops@comcast.net

Can't say I don't blame then for giving up the tours. Those days you had to put out 3 or 4 LP's a year and still tour. What a madhouse it must have been.

Yeah....I think they were burned out by that time.

Was in 1967 Epi Acoustic 1969 a Fender Strat which met a sad fate not to long ago.

I started playing my dad's old acoustic in the late 90s...

Then I didn't play for a while, until I bought my own in 2005.

A hand-me-down Epiphone acoustic of some sort. Looks like its new, brand new, and its 35 years old. Got it back in October of '07. (I haven't been playing for that long you see.)

we're getting off track here...the idea isn't the first guitar you got. it's the year you got your first guitar.
