I know we've done similar threads, but I'm curious. What year did you get your first guitar?

It was '69 or '70 for me. Can't quite remember.

Very cool. I sense a Beatles influence with that date.

Hi Cryingstrat,

First guitar was a cardboard
Roy Rogers Guitar in about '62.
Totally useless as an instrument
a few years later an asian acoustic.

I still have the Roy Rogers---Quite reliced.

Cheers.

Wish I could have seen them, even if I wouldn't have heard them!. I had to settle for Ed Sullivan like everyone else.

At the concert they had some new fangled sound system and I was able to hear then very well. They were good and sounded just like the records. I probably spent more time watching all the girls charging the stage, to see if any of them would make it to the Beatles. A good part of the time, Ringo was looking over his shoulder to make sure security got those girls, before they made it to him. It was all a lot of fun.

Take a look in the audience. I was the geeky looking guy in the glasses.

Oh yeah......do you know where I could get a copy of that concert?

Can't say I don't blame then for giving up the tours. Those days you had to put out 3 or 4 LP's a year and still tour. What a madhouse it must have been.
