Thanks, man. It's a really gritty amp when you hear it in person. My phone doesn't capture the depth well.

lol, I need to get on actually recording things. I want to do just a simple duo. I can drum well enough to record on my own now, however.

+1 for recording, getting good at recording is cool 8)

Sounds like a pretty good riff as a basis for building a song around. The Guild sounds great,I would have used less treble but that's just my taste.I'd love to hear that puppy played clean some time- next to Fender guitars, the S-70s had the best single coil pickups around back in the day.My buddy who owned the guitar store that I frequented back in the 70s had an S-70 in his shop for what seemed like years-nobody would even try it out because it looked too "ugly" or just plain weird to most people-myself included-he finally managed to sell it at either cost price or a bit of a loss. The Guild S-100-NB that I have basically had the same sort of life in the shop, but people saw the acorn and oak leaf carving work on it and dismissed it as a "country" or "hippie" guitar-that is until I plugged it into a master volume Marshall one day and it blew everyone away as it also blew the doors off the shop-I bought it immediately.Guild electrics never got the respect that they were due, they were always exceptional guitars-their humbuckers were the best that Bernardo Rico could find to use in his earliest BC Rich guitars, until DiMarzio came up with a pickup that proved just as satisfactory to him.

My 86 Peavey has a killer clean channel. I love the 4th position on the switch for clean. I'll have to find some time in the next few days to make a video of that.

Thank you, and I love this guitar to death. Cant wait to get it all fixed up.

And ya shoulda bought the S-70, less than 250 ever made. Absolute powerhouse of a guitar. And extremely versatile. The overall comfort is supreme, even as worn in as mine is.

you could write a 3 song trilogy around that riffage probably, an EP for your band, something like "i want to kill everything and everyone except you, baby". or just keep it like it is, it is cool. 8)

I don't have a band myself, I wouldn't know where to begin. I'd just look for likeminded people to play with.

I was lucky to even stumble across this one. Some kid at school found it at a yard sale and I picked it up for $100 or so in parts in a trade.

Just shop around.

Wow, you're pretty lucky. and also you should post ads in shops, any shop will work and you have to make your ad stand out. And that Guild sounds pretty awesome, so $100? Wow that is cheap. I am getting $100 for my birthday and I may look up some vintage copies on Ebay. :D

For the amount of work I've put into it and the amount of work it still needs, I'd say $100 is a fair price.

Vintage guitars ain't easy to maintain, but this one has been nice to me. If only the frets were still good

You should look for vintage Matsumoku axes, the MIJ quality was and still is absolutely superb.

Henry VIII's syphilis couldn't let him forget either. It wasn't the fault of his wives that he had so few children.
