Hi
Does anyone happen to know what type of paint my gloss black '83 Elite would be?
Acrylic Lacquer? Poly Urethane?
I am finding conflicting results in my search...

G'day Dr, and welcome. It's like when you walk into a new town and the first person you meet is the village idiot  My guess would be Polyurethane.
I think there's a dedicated thread for Elites if you do a search. There's plenty of knowledgeable people here. Good luck.
Goodonya ...Mark.

Polyurethane. Fender made the change from Polyester (the thick skin look) to Polyurethane in 1981.
