I agree SA. I always loved Jimmy's playing. Simple, primal and soulful. I like SRV too, but I think the stuff he did right before his untimely death was his best. I found his earlier stuff a bit repetitive. Same few signature runs over and over. After he cleaned up, I liked his playing so much more. There are too many "Strats With Hats" around and it gets pretty boring. I cringe every time the guys I jam with go into "Pride and Joy" :shock:

But the Blues are alive and well in my neck of the woods. I live outside of Philadelphia, Pa. New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware have some pretty decent festivals and places to go. I also belong to a Blues Meetup Group.
