It must be nice to be able cry foul just because you don't like someone's opinion whether it has merit or not and then attempt to hold everyone else hostage until they agree to your viewpoint and call them names like maggot with an f. I said rat because I saw a rat and so did everyone else ... but now I am a wolf and my sexual orientation is called into question because I won't let some whiner brow beat me into letting them letting them get away with saying black is actually white?

Boy, I guess I really am the bad guy here and I do need to grow up.

He didn't call you, nor anybody else that word.

Yep, sillier and sillier. Adults getting upset over being called a dessert food -WAHAHAHAHA! If someone called me 'cupcake', I would probably respond by calling them 'fudge brownie' (or some other dessert food) and have a sardonic grin. And personally, I could care less about anybody else's sexual preferences. Getting upset because you think someone might think you are LGBT on a website for musicians seems rather ironic.

But hey, if you really feel you are being bullied, then report the offending posts to the moderators. If there is a pattern of behavior, then they need to live up to their responsibilities and take action, regardless of who the offender is. This is the drawback to corporate forums, they worry about alienating customers by banning them. A lot of non-corporate boards won't tolerate eve one abusive post.

I finally finished the kona coffee I got for Christmas.

You know, I once had some coffee, a very good cup of Joe, and I said to myself, "self, (thats what I call myself) next time you see a thread out of control, completely hijack it and talk about coffee, because nearly everyone likes coffee. Even those that dont like coffee won't argue about it, because its coffee, no sense in arguing over a hot beverage." so here we are.

Central-American coffee has a lot of organic acids, and tastes downright sour and bitter.
It's also almost impossible to avoid it here in the US, because it's - tada! - cheap.

Because it's both overly acidic and bitter, it's brewed extremely weak. So you get far less of the actual coffee flavors.
And because Americans in general have a cultural aversion to high temperatures in food and drink, and also fear lawsuits, it's also served way too cold.
So all I can get unless I special order and brew it myself is something weak, sour and cold that has about as much to do with coffee as rap has to do with harmony.
The utter crap served here in the US is undrinkable swill compared to coffee, and what's served in "gourmet" coffee bars of Seattle pedigree is even worse. Don't get me started on the "French roast", which has nothing to do with French, but here in the US just means they burned the beans, not that they extended the second crack.

[Sipping my African coffee, high in mineral acids, not organic acids. Smooth. Black. Hot enough to have vapour tendrils dancing across the surface.]

Arth1, we get imported coffee here too. The best cup I've ever had was at Natural Products Expo East in Baltimore, MD. It was organically grown coffee beans brewed with spring water. It didn't need anything in it. I've been chasing that cup ever since.

I'm gonna go right down the middle on this one.....and then I'm locking it down, cause it's enough already.... No pointing fingers towards anyone, if the shoe fits etc.

Right down the middle is like this: Good to have a bit of a thicker skin on any forum, and not take things too personally...especially since most folks aren't using their real names and feel a bit more free to perhaps say things they might not if you had their info.

On the other hand: Points on any subject hold a lot more weight, and tend to be more convincing if they're made without poking fun or being demeaning...that stuff just becomes white noise and takes up bandwidth anyway.

Locking it down folks....now try and play nice......cause I WILL stop this car!!!

All the best,
rob
