What Fender color do you think is most appealing and/or least appealing?

For me prettiest is Candy Cola: I hate that Fender dropped it.

Least appealing for me might be what I would unofficially call "Lemon Meringue Yellow" (and I don't mean Olympic White) or perhaps Pewter. But it's all in a relative way you know, and somewhat dependent on which model.

Candy Apple Red is nice as is the derivative Candy Cola, but my favorite Fender color is Fender Blonde on Ash, the translucent kind, not the modern opaque version. It seems more durable and wears less obviously than the candy finishes.

I have a Mary Kaye 1957 reissue start I bought back in 1989- translucent white finish on ash-- I agree with you- it is pretty.

My favorite is sunburst because I like to see the woodgrain, but for solid colours I really like Burgundy Mist.
least favorite?
Probably the semi transparent white/cream I see from time to time or a wierd brown Fender used lat in the CBS era, but no finishes that really turn me off

White Blonde on Ash is my all time favorite. No question.

I'm a sucker for the transparent finishes, though.

Gretsch Orange is growing on me. I really loved the old Sunset Orange, too.

Bing Cherry is another one I love that I don't think we see enough of, honestly.

I love most of Fender's finishes, but most of the orange-ish tints (Fiesta Red, Candy Tangerine, etc.) or reds (Candy Cola, Candy Apple, Hot Rod Red) are higher on my list. I also like the translucent white on ash (my Tele has a variation of that finish).

I dislike electric blue (or whatever Fender called that hue), graffiti yellow (yes, I know it's rare and has it's own fan club) and any of the neon/pastel colors they put on the 80's HM Strats.

My top choice is natural wood:

Other than that, bright and clear colors that dare to stand out.

My least favorite is the thirteen-a-dozen sunburst finish (no picture needed) and the liquid puke green one from last year:

It's rare that a guitar triggers my gag reflexes, but that one does.

I've mentioned my love of the sienna sunburst before ...

Ordinary sunburst finishes do nothing for me.

My favorite will always be sunburst. Least favorite is any shade of brown. I hate brown basses.

I go for first choice I like, Olympic White, then 3-Color Sunburst.

I like the traditional two-tone sunburst with 50s style Strats- I have a '57 reissue I bought in the late-80's like that. '60s and later model Strats I like black w either white or black pickguards. My '79 is black on black with solid maple neck/fingerboard.

I'm not a fan of sunburst colours and reds. To be honest I don't like red on anything really.

I very much like the daphne and sonic blues, in fact I nearly painted one of my cars a similar wedgewood blue because I like the shade so much, and used something similar on my recent guitar build.

Some colours can be made or ruined by the colour of the plastics used. The minty green used on the recent rustic ash series I really like, and the pick guard used compliments it well.

Well I didn't used to, but having been a depressive for the past 40 yrs, I developed a better appreciation for brighter colors like reds in the past few years- but I still like my black w pearl pickguard precision bass.
