I was wondering if there is a new pitch transposing device, like the one by MXR back in 1999, available? :?:

There's the Eventide Pitchfactor.

No I don't want a harmonizer, something that can mimic a guitar tuned down really low, that's hard to finger. :|

Actually Jim, I have a PitchFactor and I think it might just work. Eventide makes some very high quality, clean sounding gear and all the units I've tried have quite a wide range of adjustments. You could balance the output on the device to be mostly the processed (shifted) signal and little or no clean signal. I have a couple of Eventide boxes and even though I don't use them very often I am always amazed at how fast they are and how cleanly they process.

If you're still not interested maybe do a Youtube search for pitch shifters.

Maybe a newer-generation Whammy pedal?

And what do you mean "that's hard to finger?" :?:

I'm stumped then. That's what a pitch shifter does so I don't know what you're after. Can you remember what this MXR pedal was called?

Hmm, it looks like it might illuminate, it has buttons, one would think to activate actuation and it has jacks to plug in cords to send electrical currents to impulse sensors which in turn.... hmm, shoot I don't know what happens next....? :?

Is this the device you are looking for?
If so, then I would suggest there isn't anything demonstrated in the video that the Pitchfactor can't do better, IMO.
