Has anyone put velcro on top of the rubber pads on the bottom of their pedals when attaching them on a pedal board?
I am a bit aprehensive to remove the rubber pads off of my pedals. I am designing a tiered pedalboard, and the bottom row can be attached by zip tie or velcro, but the top tier, my danelectro pedals, would be easiest to attach with velcro.
I know they are cheap pedals but I just don't want to remove it.
Has anybody had any success with attaching an adhesive directly to the rubber bottom?

Yes, I've done it, and I used this:

http://www.velcro.com/Products/Adhesive-Backed/Heavy-Duty/Industrial-Strength.aspx#.UvO9dHi9LTo

Just don't get it on the little silver data plate/sticker there...the sticker will not survive removal of the Velcro.

Post pics when you get it done! Can't wait to see...

Cool, thanks SA.
I picked up this velcro here:

I hope to put it together this weekend. Its all I've been thinking about for weeks!
I'd love to put it together tonight for tomorrows jam, but I don't want to rush things.

Yep, that stuff's even better.

I have some stuff made by 3M that can hold a car together, but I can't find it online anywhere. I used to use it at an old job to hold computer monitors (old heavy CRT-type) on top of narcotics cabinets (worked in a hospital)...you could make an elephant stand still with that stuff!

You can buy that 2" Velcro brand velcro at Walmart. Look in the crafts section where they sell beads and crochet needles. That's the stuff I use for mounting pedals to my pedal board. Gives it a clean look, makes swapping pedals in and out easy and keeps them securely mounted.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

For pedals with one connector on each side, strap the TS plugs down, and they'll hold the pedal securely. No damage to the pedal that reduces the future sale price.
And yes, glued on velcro counts as damage as far as sales go.

I don't think resale will be an issue as I have no plans to sell any of the pedals, at least anytime in the forseable future. The Dano pedals are cheap anyway. I'll see if I can strap down the plug on my other pedals, but I am not sure if I can with the materials I am using.
I will post my board once its complete.

Hey--I got a used pedal cheap because it had velcro used on it before, and then removed--so no problem with that one.
