What do you think about Jaguars? I am thinking about getting the HH but I dont know how it would compare to Strat.

Jaguar has long been fascinating, but in its original S/S guise, personally.

'Do play both Jazzmaster and Strat, and Jazzmaster, though longer scale, is a really cuddly guitar, very comfortable and more forgiving than a Strat.

'Use (and really like) a low-end SG for the H/H short scale solidbody stuff. No doubt though, the H/H Jaguar would be a splendid guitar. Enjoy!

I've heard Jags are a bit twangy on sound, so they're probably more suited toward surf-rock or grunge.

Although, thats just what I've heard, not witnessed with my own two ears. Its probably best if you find a dealer that carries Jags and try one out and compare it to your Strat.

One is a short 24" scale and the other is the longer 25.5? different pickups and control options.
I think having one or both would be pretty cool. I'm for the Fender single coil or the P-90 setup moreso than the humbucking sound.
I know some folks like the feel of Gibsons but prefer the Fender sound; or vice versa; I'm just glad I can play either one.
Both tones have their place
The Jazzmaster and the Jaguar are both on my list for aquisition asap.
They lsound and look pretty cool; I can't wait to get down to the "Sacred Store" (any place that sells guitars) and try them out through a DSL!
I hope I can get a killer deal like I did on my Stratocaster 12!
I have to either wait till next year for another axe, sell one I have or svae it up from my spending money.... ahhh budgets and gas!
