For those of you who might be tempted to skip Bruno Mars' halftime performance during Sunday's Superbowl XLVIII, do yourselves a favor and don't! Whatever you may think of his style of music (and he covers a lot of bases), the guy is a first-class entertainer and a terrific talent. In addition, he is a Fender man all the way. Check out his video on the Fender.com homepage in which he plays his '57 RI Stratocaster and talks about how his dad got him started with a Fender Squire when he was a little boy.

Best Half time show in years!

A touch of James Brown, a touch of Tower of Power and a soulful love ballad...that little Hawaiian dude rocks!

Motown let him slip away too. I bet they're kickin' themselves now!

I can't say I was a fan before the half time show but the dude rocked it. He can sing and he can dance and he sure can play the drums. I'm glad the wife made me watch him.

Yeah ... Bruno Mars and Chili Peppers both performed well. My only criticism is that I don't think it was a great pairing.

How about for next year Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck? Or maybe John Mayer with Gary Clark Jr?

That SuperBowl gig might be the toughest show to pull off. The stage has to appear from nowhere in a matter of seconds and there is no real time soundcheck. Performers are asked to jump up cold in harsh conditions and deliver magic.
