I would have to say a real player knows the value of both Gibsons and Fenders in history and making his own music.
Anyone with an opinion otherwise is probably just a poser wannabieber. 8)

Is poser wannabieber in relation to Justin Bieber? Of course, I can't fathom why anyone would want to be that douche bag? :P He sorely needs a wedgie and stuffed into a dumpster. That would be good for him, I think.

No. Unfortunately I don't own a Gibson, so I haven't joined there. I've had my eye on a few models, though. The problem is the lack of funds right now. I did almost buy an EB bass, because AMS has a 12 month payment option for $83.25, but I needed something with a 21 fret neck for a particular song I play and it has only 20. I got a sweet deal on a Schecter Diamond J Bass for over 50% off which had what I needed and is a really tight instrument. That EB keeps coming back to haunt me, though. There's something about that bass that I find appealing, even though I don't technically need it and I'm actually happy with what I have. G.A.S. I suppose.

I do all my buying at Zzounds.com and American Musical Supply because of those payments.
They are owned by the same company no intrest no credit check just a job and account.
I got my 2012 and 2013 Gibsons there.
I am currently looking at a 2014 Fender American Standard or American Special.
I have 2 other Fenders I kinda want a Standard not sure yet cuz a Special with a Super Vee would be special.

AMS has also excellent customer service and fast shipping, as well. I've ordered stuff and it's showed up less than two days later. Speaking of Strats, they have the 12 pay option on the American Standards going, too. The thing about that is it's great way to get something without spending a lot up front (in case you need money for emergencies, etc.) and it does help your credit score. I know that's so rock and roll to worry about credit scores. :P I suppose if you're loaded to begin with, it wouldn't matter, unless you're careless. I know this guy who works for the government, but is in serious debt because he is a shopaholic. He has over 200 guitars and keeps buying more crap.

I think this is a good topic thing by linnin. It's interesting to read and now it's like 6 pages long and whatnot.

What is a Gibson doing to you? :?:

Obviously by your equipment list you cant afford them so to justify this to yourself you put down the product you cant aquire, nice.

The one thing that sucks about Gibson, is they didn't put out that SGJ when I bought my Squier Custom Tele. It's only $499, which is only $200 more and it's still made in the US. I liked what I heard on the demo, too. It sounds pretty nice to me. I'm sure it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles like the more expensive models, but who cares? I think that's cool that they are offering a lot of guitars under $1000 these days.
