If you are referring to my post (you did not quote anything, so it is hard to tell), please reread it carefully and tell me where I said an overdrive can be made to provide a clean boost (hint: I did not).

By the way, my Fulldrive-2Mosfet makes an excellent clean boost . :D

Not at all. I was mostly just adding some clarity to my own thoughts on the matter.
And yes, perhaps maybe attempting to temper the possible conclusions some folks might come to if they perceived our responses as being contrary ... which I do not believe they were. Just a view from a different angle.

I always hear great things about the FullDrive.
I have a number of Fulltone pedals but I haven't tried that one yet, even though it was the first one I'd ever heard of by Fulltone. Did you ever try the original FullDrive before the MOSFET version? And if so did you notice much difference in the way the pedal behaves?

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

OK.

No, I have not. I used to have a Boss BD-2 and OD-3. Replaced those with the FD-2M. I rarely use the FD-2M anymore as all of my amps easily achieve natural overdrive without pedals.
