Had a chance to try the Vaporizer amp last week at Sweetwater. At best,...it's nothing more than okay considering what it is ,what you get and what you pay for.
It looks to be built fairly well overall from what I could tell! However,...does it sound as good as my good ole Hot Rod Deluxe III amp with it's Celestion speaker? No it doesn't! Would the Vaporizer last as long? Don't know! Is it worthy of the Fender name? Well,...no,it isn't,...Fender can do much better than put out amps like this!
(On a side note,...from what I have been reading,...there seem to be a round of QC issues with the '68 Custom line of amps, and Fender R&D,...along with QC,...should straighten those out before spending R&D money on amps such as the Vaporizer.
C'mon,Fender,...let's get our act together and not return to those horrendous CBS days of poor quality amps and shoddy workmanship! Rod Schwarz,...are you listening? Brad,...are you listening?)

Would I buy the Vaporizer? Probably not!

OK, so this $400 amp doesn't sound like something that costs twice as much. How odd.

Let's just say the Vaporizer amp is not my thing. It may be fine for others or as a practice amp,but it's not for me! I'd buy a reissue Bassman if I could afford it,but
it's out of the question,...Hot Rod series amps will have to do for this working man/beginning musician! My HRD III is really all the amp I'll ever need, but I'd still like to have the BDRI amp along with it for the warmer bluesier tones! Pawn shop series amps just are not my bag,...they just don't have the sound I like from my HRD III!
