Eric Johnson is the mannnnn...

he's so freakin tasteful

redhouse on that G3 is probably my favorite, Johnson really shows his maturity on the guitar by sitting back while the shredders do their thing and when it is his turn to shine, he definitely does so. i'm very impressed with Johnson's playing of Jimi

That's MHO.
This is all subjective as beauty is in the (ear or eye) of the beholder meaning it's all about what the individual likes.
I admire the technical ability but what the music says or means (to me) never gets expression so it's lost.

I agree. Virtuosity definately has it's place in music. I love it in all it's forms and genre's. But it doesn't define music either. Those who believe that anything less then virtuosity is a lesser art form are missing the whole point of music. Music's main goal is to touch, not impress.

I don't see them on stage but I have the album.
Very amasing when all 3 plays together. EJ has a very nice tone.
