Hi, I am replacing the bridge pickup on my Squier Black and Chrome Standard Stratocaster HSS. I want a bridge humbucker that's good for everything from classic rock to thrash metal. There are so many options I don't know which to choose. Please post your suggested ideas. :?: :?: :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Would I get pegged with tomatoes if I said 'Gibson Burstbucker'? Image

the major musical instrument sellers like Guitar Center, Sam Ash, Sweetwater, etc. carry them.

The Dimarzio Super Distortion was a very common replacement bridge bucker back the day. It would be good for anything from classic rock to metal.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Personally, I like Dimarzios. I have a PAF Pro in the bridge position in my HH Strat. It has nice tone and does heavy very well.

Someone mentioned Gibson pickups. I really like Gibson pickups alot, in general. The ceramic Gibson 496R & 500T humbuckers are amazing. Lots of clarity, warmth, and drive.

i put a set of Railhammer humbucker pickups in a guitar i built and really like them. I installed the hammer/chisel set but there are plenty to choose from and not crazy expensive. I originally wanted to go with bareknuckle but they are too expensive for me.
