True that, you can even see footage of it on the first tours. It had a dragon painted on it.
That's why he fitted his Les Pauls with push pull coil tapping and phasing to recreate the tele sounds.

He did a lot of stuff with a B bender on a tele as well, very cool sounding.

Apparently, the Dragon Tele was damaged and he used the neck from it on the Tele with the B bender. I read something to that effect from an interview, but I may have to reconfirm this. This site here has all kinds of archives about this: http://www.led-zeppelin.org

Thanks for the link have to look at that when I get home from work.
A couple of years ago my mother got me the complete album box set from Japan its the 2008 remaster same as Mothership.
It sounds so much better than the 90s remasters. Its also the mini LPs has everything down to little sleeves inside jackets.
Came in a black box.

When I saw Led Zep in 75 @ Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, Page used the dbl neck SG for stairway, but also a Tele, the sunburst LP as well as the danelectro....

Page was a well regarded session player prior to the Yardbirds and Led Zep..... the resume is quite impressive... That in itself gives a hint as to how Led Zep's music varied so much, pulling musical influences from all corners of the globe..... 8)

That's pretty cool. I remember seeing some sort of box set with all of the albums in a Costco back in the '90s, but not that. I had all kinds of stuff from cassettes to original vinyl from them when I started getting into them in high school in the late 80's. Sadly, I was in a situation where I lost everything I owned and left the state of Florida (with just a suitcase of clothes and what was on my back) almost 11 years ago including my bass gear and had to start over, which turned out to be the best thing I ever did for my life. I've acquired even better gear than I had, but only a little bit of my music collection I had. I'm actually interested in these new reissues Jimmy is putting out this year with the out takes and all.

A guitarist friend of mine in high school who got me into playing bass and I were hard core Zeppelin fans and that's how it all started for me. I probably drove my older brother nuts with them when we use to cruise around in his van (he was the prodigal 70's teenager, so the van was a must. :P) and that's 95% of what I wanted to listen to. Since he was 11 years my senior, he was also a contributing factor to my underage festivities kept in a cooler in said van for excursions at the drive-in movie theater.

That's true. I'll bet a lot of people would be surprised on how much stuff he played on and didn't even realise it. "Goldfinger" from the James Bond movie is an example.
