I know they already have the Blacktop Series, but they should make a better metal series. The guitars would probably have EMG pickups, 24 fret necks, specially designed thin necks for shredding, compound 12" to 16" radius fretboards, Floyd Rose tremolo systems, different colors, like satin black, chrome, or other colors good for metal. I suppose the Jim Root Stratocaster, Telecaster, and Jazzmaster could be included in the series if Jim wanted too. That would be so awesome if they made Strats and Jaguars with EMGs and Floyd Rose tremolos. I would be those in a heartbeat!

They did that in the late 80's--the HM Strats...the only difference was the (often) neon colors, and they didn't have EMG's...otherwise, they were what you were asking for...

I think the Jim Root Models are about as close as you're gonna get for a while, unless you go for a non-Fender ESP axe.

Fender offered and still offers Strats with Floyd Rose bridges.

The first Strats being fitted with the original Floyd Rose tremolo were the HRR series, introduced in 1990.

Though the HRR Strats were MIJ the Custom Shop did a modified HRR for Richie Sambora which eventually became the basis for a signature model in 1991. The Floyd Rose Classics of 1992 superseded the HRRs which were taken out of production in 1995.

One notable player of the HRR Strat was Iron Maiden guitarist Dave Murray who used a couple of these guitars during that period.

Get a charvel so cal or San Dimas.

They aren't a Strat, but they are as close as you'll get to one and much better than a blacktop or a standard locking Trem Strat.
