It's a 2-piece maple neck capped with a rosewood fretboard.

We're talking about a 1-piece maple neck/fretboard with black pearloid dots!

Kind of you to respond to that. Arth is just being picky, picky.

Just bought this at Guitar Village in Farnham yesterday.
Looks even better in the flesh, not to gauche and catches the light really well.
My wife thought it looked brilliant.

Tried one of these out at the store.. man what a killer strat. Nice finish work and that neck is to die for. That neck is what I always wanted on my Clapton strat... feels the same except has a rosewood board. Not sure about the gold background on the sunburst yet though.

Well there's a twist. I play Fender v-necks and have always thought that the Clapton neck was the best of the lot. Now I'm curious because I once owned a Custom Shop Strat, Clapton-based with a rosewood board, and the neck did NOT feel the same as my '89 Pewter. I spoke to Paul Waller about it on the occasion of the 2010 Road Show and he suspected that the board was likely responsible for the thicker feel.

It would be interesting to measure one. This neck, if anything, felt a touch smaller than my Clapton.... but may not be. If you get a chance play one of these. Right now I'm telling myself I dont ned another strat.... can a person have too many? :>)

Is that CS guitar with the "Elite" circuitry and SCNs you're talking about?

Been living with this for two weeks now and it is literally my favourite.
Fat fifties have a nice chime, sounds great with fuzz, but that neck just loves to be played. Big fat open chords are great to fret and the widdly stuff is lovely. Fret finish on mine is great straight from the factory.
Love it.

Now where do I order a bolt together version of this in vintage white with the gold pickguard and the same neck/pickup combo in the UK.

I've just reviewed and compared specs and the neck on this guitar appears to be the same as the one on the AmDlx V-neck with the addition of a rosewood board. The nut width is 0.8mm wider than the Clapton's and has a compound radius board as well.

I have a Surf Green one and the V-neck is fantastic.
