You can't have too many herd photos...

Image

1973/4/5? Ampeg Big Stud Bass
1995 Fender Special Tele (highly modified)
1992 Fender '62 American Vintage Stratocaster (highly modified)
1980 G&L F-100 (my first electric guitar!)
1983 G&L Nighthawk
20?? Dean Chrome G acoustic-electric resonator
1986 Fender F250 Acoustic (my first guitar!)
1986 Fender F270CE Acoustic

The Armadillo Terrier wondered what I was doing, so he came into the room and walked right into the middle of a shot...

A little more about the Ampeg Big Stud Bass...

They were made in Japan from 1973-1975...laminate (read: "plywood") solid body, two pickups--one in the center of the body that is reminiscent of a 1953 P-bass and one that looks (and sounds) like a four-pole P-90 pickup in the bridge position.

A friend of mine (now deceased) bought this at a garage sale for $5.00, and gave it to me. The previous owner obviously thought he was Bootsy Collins or something--he put thumbtacks all along the edge of the body and headstock, and had drilled shallow holes and glued dozens of rhinestones all over the body (all have fallen out except one). He also painted "Mr. Cosmic" on the case with red nail polish.

Kids, don't do drugs. It makes you do stupid things like that... :?

Anyway, it plays great--big, beefy, baseball-bat-like neck--fat, funky tone--well-balanced body-to-neck weight.

I'm not a bassist, but it's nice to tinker around with, and several "real" bassists have expressed their admiration for the instrument.

That's a lot of ... steins! :D

I presume you have your Telecasters in a different room?

I drank beer out every one of those steins in Germany too...and that is only about a half of them!

As for the telecasters...sorry, no, the Esquire is my only tele type....had it since new in 85.

Pyroman approves of T2's herd.

However, no Gibson collection is complete without a Firebird. GAS on, my friend, GAS on.
