On the far right, is that an Ibanez Artcore AS-73? I have that same guitar and it sure is sweet.

I am eventually going to do a full herd picture sometime, but until then here is my treasured '79 Gibson SG Standard, along with 2004 MIM Standard (w/ Tex Mex pups) and a Fender acoustic.

The SG had Gibson ceramic pickups added to it, along with being rewired to having a single tone knob along with a phase-out micro switch (where the second tone knob to be used to be). I purchased it around 1981 from Mike Varney (founder of Shrapnel Records). Mods that he made before I took it were the addition of the Lyre plate beneath the bridge, Grover tuners, and replaced bridge pickup with an original Dimarzio Super Distortion. It is BY FAR the best playing and sounding SG I have played (and I have a played a mountain of them).

. . . Squier Bass VI if it would ever get here. After 4 months of fighting my way to the top of the waiting list, I'm now victimized by the cold weather in the South. It finally shipped early last week (1/28) and was last seen in Jacksonville, FL.

This better be worth the wait.

Well bro...I've had my MIJ Fender VI here since last spring. I bought an Orange Crush 50BXT to run it through. Perhaps we can find some common ground and time to commisserate. Maybe when the Mesa King Snake arrives. I'm figuring 6-8 weeks. In the mean time...enjoy.
