I guess the powerchords and single strinh melodies is a niche?

It certainly gives it that old-school flavor. To me, punk rock will always mean raw, rapid-fire bands like the Sex Pistols and the Ramones (although I usually consider the Ramones protopunk, but hey, I'm probably just splitting hairs). And you wear your Ramones influence on your sleeve, although you seem to be developing your own style. That's what playing guitar is all about, finding a unique voice for expressing yourself.

Thanks for that. :D

All 3 pickups on for this one. (SDS-1s) The thought of using a Micro Terror, though... I can't wait to try one, I've loved every demo I've seen so far.

I guess I've kinda taken what I like from bands I love the most, put it in a blender, then mentally drank that dreadful smoothie. I feel like I lack with leads, though. (Then again, rhythm is lead for what I do)

You're welcome, though. I saw it in a thread a while ago and enjoyed everything I heard.

Would room mics work better for my situation?

That Guild is awesome, and you can play. Also, the drummer is good and seems like the type that only gets better with a challenge, or under pressure of some sort.

I guess just find a bassist that has melody, and will stay out of your way...while supporting you at the same time.

First step is finding a bassist. They just aren't around in my area. Loads of guitarists and drummers, many sub par. Come to think of it, there aren't any singers around here either.

Thank you though. This guitar is my one and only, even with some of the issues it has. :) I can only imagine how it'll be when I get it 100% playable.

Surprisingly, it only has a single dead spot on the whole fretboard.

Vintage Guild is in the "no modifications ever" club, at least in my mind. Good luck with the band.

Not mods, just fixing worn parts. Needs a refret, a new nut, new tuners, and a new mini toggle for the treble bleeder.

Deffs going with stainless, brass, and grovers. It's a solid guitar, but even the best wear down at some point. I guess 35 years is that point. :P

Quite possibly, but to get room mics that do a good job, it's going to be expensive. I'd say go with more (cheaper) mics for the drums at first, if your mixer can take it.

Wot? "Bassist"? That's a weird way to spell "keyboard player".

I'd love to be a DCHC pioneer. Think synthasized Minor Threat

Nice stuff Buxom. Nice and raw.
We used a ZOOM H4n to record . It sounds really good for a handheld recorder. Good enough to shop us around for gigs.

Cool jam Buxom! I can hear your tone best before the drums kick in and it sounds really nice, that Guild is sweet! Nice playing too, you have come a long way!

Yea, I'm actually thinking it was poor camera placement for the domination of drums in the sound. I put it on top of my stack. I'll need to find a better place next time.

Thank you. I'm glad I can finally impress people to an extent.
