I had a Hot Rails in the bridge of my Surf Green Highway One for a few months now, but I really missed the single coil sound, so I switched the Custom 69 back in and gave it a little bit of a polish, since the forearm contour was getting shiny anyway. The guitar had some orange peel in the lacquer and I didn't want to risk going through the lacquer, so I just gave it a little shine. I used Turtle Wax Polishing Compound, anyone have any ideas for a polish that'll give me a little more shine and decrease my chances of going through the lacquer.. here's some pics.

Looks great! I'll probably be doing that soon, Mines shiny on the
forearm contour, the back, and by the bridge where I double-pick.

Love that surf green! :D

That is a cool color!

There is some car stuff made by Maquire's that is supposed to be excellent for guitars too.

Thanks for the recommendation of the Meguiars, I'll have to get some for next time I restring and clean it up. It's a 2007 FSR Highway One, it came with Custom Shop 69's. I had a Hot Rails in the bridge, but I just got a new Les Paul BFG and with my Ibanez, I have figured I have enough humbuckers. The flat finish was nice, but it was getting shiny so I figured I'd finish the job... I'll have to do some more to get it really nice. I had the three piece Fender Polishing kit, but after sitting unused for a few months, it all separated and became useless, it's made by Meguiars too, good stuff.

Not usually a fan of that type of colour (the surf greens, the pinks, etc) but theres something about that guitar. I think its the dark strap and dark rosewood fretboard. Very pretty axe :)
