At least it looks less painful to play than the Bo Diddley specials.
But that's the funny thing about fame - if Bo Diddley plays it, it's suddenly cool. If John Petrucci or Eric Clapton had played the Graveyard Diciple, it would have been popular. The Birdfish was laughable until Billy Gibbons endorsed it.

At least the Bo Diddley axes were based on what he made (home made) earlier in his career.

Billy F Gibbons can, will and does play any and everything--the Birdfish was just another step in his personal long strange trip (to quote the Grateful Dead).

The graveyard disciple would be stupid looking even if Dos Equis' Most Interesting Man In The World was playing it. In fact, if TMIMITW were to play it, it would instantly turn him into a douchebag and he would have to give up the title and shave his beard.
