On the fifth day of Christmas, the mail lady brought to me:

Overdrive and germanium fuzz. I love it.

How does it sound? Lots of knobs, cool bag and a sticker too. Can't ask for much more except nice tone.
I have four OD pedals and I'm thinking of buying another (the Alairex Halo)!! Why are we all obsessed with the perfect distorted sound?
How would you describe this one: smooth, creamy, edgy, raw, dark, red?

I'm impressed, really. It's very analogue. When the gain setting is low, or the volume low on the guitar, it's very much like a good boost pedal. Hitting the breakup point, it becomes a surprisingly warm overdrive. Go far beyond, and it is all fuzz, Hendrix style.
Flip the switch on the left, and the germaniums wake up, adding random break-up and static. Turn the wildness knob too far to the right, and it will feedback on itself.

Recommended. Hard to find, though.

I'm looking to consolidate. Yours sounds like a contender. I'm glad you like it. I wonder if you ever looked at the Alairex Halo. It's sort of a two step OD/Fuzz/Distortion.

No, I haven't - it's actually the first I've heard of it, so now I have to look :D
For distortion, I still haven't found a pedal that does it better than overdriving one of my Orange amps. But that's not very practical for home use. Perhaps I need a sink.

What I'm really looking hard for now is a good reverb pedal. I bought a TC Trinity, but I'm not impressed, as it sounds very digital. Sterile and predictable.
And I know I'm the odd man out, but I truly dislike spring reverbs - they make me seasick. A good electronic room/chamber/hall reverb that adds a tiny bit of randomness to the echo and the phase so it doesn't sound digital and sterile would be ideal.
Surely there must be some boutique pedal makers who make them?
