I forgot to mention Scotty Moore - Elvis' guitarist - a true legend of early rock. I wish some promoter or PBS would get all the living pioneers together for an entire night performing and talking about those early days. What stories they could share about what it was like in the early days. I couldn't give a rats a** about most of the "musicians" lives today. For the most part they're boring and uneventful and don't mean a thing !!!

Well, that last bit is a little harsh, but I know what you mean. Regarding the rest, I saw Bo Diddley at just such an event in Spain, organised by Brian May, if memory serves. (He certainly played that night.)

Kids have traditionally been scorned for doing songs with just three chords, but look how much Bo could wring out of just one!

RIP

Bo Diddley was an extraordinary artist. His work will live on and his spirit too. But it's a sad loss to the industry and to guitar lovers around the world.

unfortunately, another legend passes away. Not to many of the pioneers are left - Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Fats Domino and the Everly Bros and a few others......

We're left with the likes of Madonna, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, rappers,... etc.....ugh !!!!!!!!!

No kiddin!!!! I can't stand rappers!!!! I'll admit, I used to be into it...and then I actually listened to what they were saying. All I have to say is ew. Then I listened to the Beatles, and here I am today!! It is sad that Bo died. I just learned about that this morning on the news. Well, R.I.P. to Bo Diddley    and live long to Chuck Berry
