I just saw that! :(

R.I.P. Bo Diddley

He was a true pioneer of Rock n Roll music.
His playing style was as widely copied as Chuck Berry.
He played live shows well into his late 70's.
The man will be missed!

He will be missed, I find it truly amazing for him to have been touring
at his age. He played a show not too far from me last year.

RIP

unfortunately, another legend passes away. Not to many of the pioneers are left - Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Fats Domino and the Everly Bros and a few others......

We're left with the likes of Madonna, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, rappers,... etc.....ugh !!!!!!!!!

I forgot to mention Scotty Moore - Elvis' guitarist - a true legend of early rock. I wish some promoter or PBS would get all the living pioneers together for an entire night performing and talking about those early days. What stories they could share about what it was like in the early days. I couldn't give a rats a** about most of the "musicians" lives today. For the most part they're boring and uneventful and don't mean a thing !!!

I just read that a while back. A true legend, always will be. I'll have to pick up one of those cool square guitars now.

Oh no!! I love Bo Diddley!!! I was lucky enough to catch him last year when he played in Salem. He was so awesome!!!!!!

He laughed and told stories and talked to the crowd.

He showed off his square gretsch and was a great opportunity for me to see a living legend.

"Who Do You Love" - That was the greatest.

At least we've still got his music.

Bo Diddly was in the same Legue as Robert Johnson, Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters, and Elmore James. He'll forever be synonymous with Blue and Rock Rhythm Guitar Playing.
