I'm thinking it should have some red shag carpet on it, too. I can see where that would be appropriate. 8)

Me some too! Like the idea of a pawn shop combo for bass.

My wish list: 2 tube preamp with ss power amp with a line out. One 12" speaker, under 50 lbs.

How about a TV style cabinet in solid pine with finger joints coated with an clear finish to match an old Tele fretboard.

Same $549.99 price point as other models.

Either or. I was thinking as a tribute to "Murph and the Magictones."

Forget it! Most of the bass amps I've seen in pawn shops are ragged out Peaveys and discarded 'like new' China-peg Ampeg BA series combos. NO THANKS.

I'll just stick with my non-pawn shop great sounding & utterly reliable Fender Rumble Bass Amps. Thank You Very Much. 8)

"Why Not?" The only reason that I could think of is that it isn't do-able. I thought the Excelsior was perfect and it is for guitar but bass guitars don't work with them. The tube bass amp would be too big Matt to qualify for easy use IMHO YMMV to quote my favorite Martian. :D
