My favourite changes on a weekly basis. Rubber Soul is good but it's never been my favourite. Floyd's Animals has taken that position on a number of occasions. Jonny Lang has also held the title a few times as has Warren Haynes but one album has been always in my top 20 ever since it came out and frequently sits at #1 and that is Arc Angels self titled debut (and woefully only) album. I never seem to tire of it.

Yep...that's one of the greatest albums ever in the history of forever.

BTW, go get the Deluxe/Expanded version of their live DVD/CD "Living in a Dream"...it has three new (at the time) studio tracks...excellent!

Thanks for the tip!
I will definitely look into it.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Doyle Bramhall II is an amazing guitarist. Strange to watch him play backwards and upside-down. Roger Waters - In The Flesh ... Great DVD. Doyle and Snowy White playing point and counterpoint.

Another guy worthy of honourable mention is Audley Freed. His work on Cry Of Love's album Brother is marvellous. If you haven't given it a try you owe it to yourself to look for it.

I was fortunate to have 3rd row seats to the In The Flesh show in Tampa FL 2000. Indeed that guy was amazing. I remember watching him play thinking there was something a bit odd about the way he's fingering chords and doing bends and then it occurred to me hes playing completely upside down. The notion of having to learn everything flipped is pretty crazy. I suppose if its how you start and learn, it just feels natural. Great player and I also remember him just nailing 'Dogs'

great show. I need to catch the DVD. Also enjoyed seeing the female singers belting out the Amused to Death stuff.

Can I go for two? Totally different genres and both somewhat obscure...

Either this one:

Afro Girl by Lulu's Marble. Really dig their sound (like many others... my "top album" changes as much as I change my underwear)
