Thanks for the new site and for THE FORUM!!!

I'll use my first post to bring attention to my favorite Strat player...I'm wondering if there are plans to add a bio etc on RORY GALLAGHER to the Artist Roster page on the website? There was not even a link on the old website, strange as he has his own C.S. Tribute model. BTW, tomorrow is 12 years since his passing.

Also, what guitar is Buddy Guy playing in that picture on the Artist Roster? (It doesn't look like a Fender!)

Thanks Fender!

N.

That's a Gretsch (also part of the Fender family) Buddy is playing in that shot. That photo was initially for use in the Fender Amplifier section of last year's Frontline magazine. There are a bunch of Fender amps which you can't see in that cropped photo.

Good eye...

Thanks John! I saw a blistering Buddy Guy show last winter, the sound was tremendous through his Chicago Blues Box amp. He played a couple different Strats in that show, neither one with polka-dots though!

ps... don't forget about Rory

We'll see about Rory...what you see on the Artist Page is only the beginning. We'll be adding artists daily over the next few weeks.

Thanks for checking it out.

When I saw Buddy on April 7th, he played his dotted strats and his signature Martin. He played loud and even went up in the balcony to play. It seemed like he never finished a song, just started to play some chords and then said something, played some chords, said something...Don't get me wrong he was great, but in a strange kind of way.

I like Buddy. He knows his $@!&. But I think the best he has ever played was on the Festival Express show. He doesn't play with hardly as much energy as then, but he was young so. He was like Albert Collins, he loved those long cables so he could mingle with the audience.
