Consider all Fender products, guitars, amps, speaker cabinets, parts, accessories, even Fender service. I wouldn't consider the vendors as part of the product, but I realize that figures in to the experience. I suspect that it wouldn't make much difference if we had separate polls for each category of product.

I'll get the ball rolling; Thrilled! :D

Great products, check.
Excellent service, check.
Competitive pricing, check.
Something for everyone, check.
Best forum in the world, check.

Fender has been at the top of their game since 2008.

I do wish they would add a Precision Bass with an "A" neck and PJ pup configuration to the American Standard series. Rosewood fingerboard, too.

It would also be great if Fender replaced the American Special's standard hardware with vintage reissued tuners and bridge, and maybe added a hardshell. Those are nice basses that deserve protection.

I have owned several Fender amps and most likely will never own any other amp (at least not without also having a Fender amp), never been disappointed with any of the amps I've owned/own or tried that were made by Fender.
As far as guitars go - I've tried a couple but only have 1 so far (finances) and I've never been dissatisfied with any of the guitars either. At least not the ones made in USA, some MIMs I've tried out were debatable but as far as USA models go - spot on :)

I have had some bad luck lately, as told in this thread; http://forums.fender.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=90998....
.....but I have played Fender basses since 1979 and this is the only bad experience I have had. I will continue to purchase and play Fender basses without any hesitation.

Well, considering I own five Fender guitars (okay, three are squier, but they still count) and three Fender amps...

I'm quite satisfied! Esp with the amps- they just make the sounds I want.

I thought I could buy and trust any Fender without having to inspect it first, especially the American made ones, I learned my lesson...

Silly Stuff really !!

A Loyalty Poll on this forum really lacks any validity.

People who don't like Fender Prods. & Svcs. won't even be here to have any input. The results will undoubtedly be scewed in Fender's favor.

And, when you talk about Fender, you've also got to define it a bit further. Which Fender? Fender Electrical Instrument Co. (1946-1965)?, Fender Musical Instrument Co. - CBS (1965-1988), or the currrent Fender Musical Instrument Co. (1988-present)?

If your poll isn't restricted to the current company, again your results won't be valid.

My experience with all 3 Fender Cos. has mostly been good. My service experience w/ the current co. has been great!

But, I think today, you have to spend more $$ to get the same features and quality that were present in standard instruments in the past.

Not a fan of current Fender Amps, they don't stand above other brands like they did in the past. The re-issues aren't necessarily very faithful to the originals. You can get Blackface or Silverface amps for less money than many current amps and get a better amp in the bargain.

It must pose an interesting dillema for Fender today - that one of their biggest competitors is Fender of yesteryear.

cheers!

I disagree, I see a whole range of responses already. And the question wasn't "are you loyal to Fender products", it was "are you satisfied with the ones you already have". Good poll IMO.

I agree with you, most of the forum members are happy with the product or they would not be on board. If this question was asked on a generic musical instruments forum I am sure you would hear several different opinions.

Imagine if you post this poll on the Gibson forum. To form an opinion from that poll would be meaningless as well.

I love Fender guitars, but...

There are quality problems. They may have gotten better than they were, but there are still problems. Many buyers seem willing to overlook that for a low price. I'm not one of them.
Fender does have the Squier brand where they can have less strict quality control. For something marked "Fender", I would expect better. Yes, again, it's better than it was a few years ago, but it's still not good. Neither of my last two Fenders were without quality problems, and in my opinion, neither of them should have received a PASS mark.

Another issue is the lack of replacement parts. Only a few of the most standard guitars and configurations have a decent part selection - for a lot of the guitars Fender sells, you have to hunt down a broken guitar to get parts, because Fender won't sell them. Even for brand new guitars!

So my feelings are mixed. I love Fender guitars, and how they play. But I'm not too thrilled with Fender as a company, and the consumerism. I wish the Fender branded products were higher quality, even if it means a higher price.

I voted for mixed because the situation has many facets. The statement about Fender's biggest competition is the Fender of yesterday is a brilliant comment. I am glad we have Fender. Leo's legacy is a tough act to follow in today's planned obsolescence world. Fender products get a fair/good mark in my estimation. Their service and warranty policy I would rate good/excellent.

Having received my HRDIII yesterday, I can say it is a very good workhorse of an amp. Great tone oozing from this amp. A few tube changes, (more to come) made the sound more to my liking. The stock C Rex speaker is so perfect for the tone I was looking for
