The one 'to die for' is the tribute strat one of our forum members, ORChrist, built. Search for "My Dave Murray 'Aces High' Supermarine Strat". The finished project is pictured towards the bottom of page 6 on the thread.

Just send me the original SRV No.1 and I'll be happy.
I'll be looking forward to hearing from you... Thanks Fender!

You'll have to negotiate with Jimmy Vaughn and the estate for that one. Last I heard, it's locked in a vault in Austin, and only saw the light of day last for the Tribute Project.

They asked you what was on your Fender wish list. They did not imply that they would even consider fulfilling anyone's wishes. They only want to know what people think - obtain input, likely to help them modify their store for next year, so they can sell more.

They might give one person one of his wishes, if not too expensive or difficult to do. It would be good PR, but they're certainly not obliged to do so, and I don't really expect them to.

How about a Jazzmaster with 22 frets? Every other guitar model that originally had 21 frets now has a modern model with 22, except the Jazzmaster. Also a modern Esquire with jumbo frets, 9.5" radius and 22 frets as well.

eh i know, i know ... they are the barriers of customs fees and import/export taxes my floydian mate.
Even if you buy an instrument or an equipment in USA by yourself on a website ,
you're going to have to deal with various extra expenses (i think at least a 30% in addiction ) when the goods pass from the (Italian in my case) customs.
If you buy cds / dvds or other inexpensive items (strings, accessories...) , and does not exceed a certain amount (about 25/30 euro for shipping excluded shipping fees .. I do not remember the exact threshold) you should not pay anything more.

For those reasons when it is possible I buy/renew software licenses (antivirus and so on) in U.S. online shops .. a significant savings also considered the favorable exchange rates between the dollar and the euro.
