I own a Black paisley Telecaster, (sweet axe), MIM. I also own a Candy Apple Red HSS Stratocaster ... you guessed it, MIM. I want to add one more Fender, preferably a MIM since I love their quality and playability. I am not sure if I want to add a SSS Strat, a Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Mustang ... what do you folks think? I am leaning between the Strat and the Jazzmaster. I am sure a lot of you already faced this dilemma, I am hoping to lean from your experiences. Thanks!!!!

Get another MIM. Don't ruin your love for them by risking getting something better that will make them seem inadequate.
(Speaking from experience.)

He might not like the rest of his guitars after he spoils himself with soapbar pickups.

Saving for an American Standard Precision, myself.

I don't think you can go wrong with one of the MIM Classic Series Strats......

Play it stock or use it as a platform for any number of mods and upgrades -- they're great guitars!

I vote for the Jazzmaster, too. Everyone needs a set of soapbars in their lives!

Well, since you're leaning between a Strat and a Jazzmaster, I'd probably go for a Jazzmaster, since you already have a Strat (even though it has HSS configuration.) That way you have even more variety with guitars. Then again, you probably should really demo both guitars side by side extensively and see what you really like. Like the old saying goes: Measure twice and cut once.

Option C) '72 Tele Thinline

I have my eye on one and I think that will be my next purchase. (My only guitar right now is an MIM Strat)

I'm not really a fan of the Jazzmaster, but I'd say go for it ! 8)

Variety is the Spice of Life.

And, whoever said it's forever...???

If it loses favor down the road, sell it and move on to the next one.

So many guitars... so little time....

cheers!

If i were you I'd go for variety and get the one that you think is the most different from a Tele & a Strat that you like.

From your list that would be a Jazzmaster or a Jaguar. (Different type of pickups vs scale length--and both with a different vibrato)

Or go more different and get a Starcaster or one of the more unusual Pawn shop models, or a bass.
