My newest guitar , the case or both smell amazing. Sort of a white chocolate or vanilla smell. I thought maybe i was just hungry or something, but the guy in the store agreed and said it smelled like happiness.. :D Anybody else have any guitars like this?

Mine all smell like blood, sweat and tears - the story of their acquisition.

I'm sure they do! Mine should also by all rights. Worked, scrimped and saved to finally get it...and she's a beut! But it really was a nice surprise and was wondering. Maybe *ibson is treating their guitars/cases with a scent of some sort?
Kind of a good marketing tool really. That added touch for bleeding out all that blood, $weat and tears!

We've had guitar sniffing threads on here before, but I think yours is the first that is happy about that new guitar/case smell.

At least mine don't smell like skanky, smoke-filled bars anymore. :?

Enjoy yours! Just be careful you don't drool on it! 8)

Love the smell of a new guitar, or even better yet, when I get one that is 20+ years old and it has the "new" smell too it. Let's not go down the "bad" smelling road.... I have had a few doozies. :?

my Ibanez case had a nice smell like that. Kind of like toasted almonds and vanilla or something.

I truly loathe the smell of the G&G case that my Fender Select came in. It smells like Reeperbahn, and even several months later, it stinks. It took two weeks and several cleanings to get the guitar to stop stinking.
Why do they do this? Without the customer even getting a choice? Do a majority really like this and is willing to pay a premium for the red light district smell?

Buy a G&G guitar case, and find out!

The smell of happiness? That's a pleasant story.

All my guitars have their own smell, and I love them all.

Maybe under the new health care law there will be Guitar Case Addiction Sniffing Clinic"s.

I'll say it again, I like the nitro smell. I hope it lasts a while. the last time I went to GC all I smelled was plastic except for the tiny room where they keep the guitars behind glass. At my go to music store they only had like two nitro guitars. You have to order them per customer.
