There's some kind of error on the Telecaster Original Vintage.
http://www.fender.com/store/pickups-and ... -set-of-2/
DC resistance is shown as neck 9.0k, bridge 8.8k on the description page yet the Tone Chart http://wpc.077d.edgecastcdn.net/00077D/ ... _Guide.pdf says bridge 7.2k, neck 7.7K.
My guess is the Tone Chart is correct. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks for all this great feedback, guys!
We're definitely taking all of this commentary into consideration as we roll out new offerings in the online store.

Keep it coming!

Hi everyone!

If you're on the hunt for some new Fender pickups for your Stratocaster®, Telecaster®, Jazz Bass® or Precision Bass® guitar, you can now check out a great selection of Fender pickups offered straight from the Fender online store. In addition to a number of Custom Shop pickup sets, we also offer individual neck, middle and bridge pickups. Be sure to check back soon as we'll be adding to the online selection, and don't forget to tell us what you'd like to see.

Thanks all!

I would love to see some texas specials with aged white covers

New bass pickups (including pickups for 5-stringers) will be added soon.

I'd like to see Fender offer a '51-'56 style first generation Precision pickup, but with better, safer coil winding coverage. Hopefully it would sound the same as the original.

I'd also like to see a Jazz bass with two soapbar pickups, and an active preamp(nothing real fancy) to help stop the ground hum, all front loaded under the pickguard. It would have vintage RI tuners and a Leo Quan BAII bridge. Basswood body.

Another dream of mine would be a fretless Precision with a ceramic P pickup, and an added alnico J pickup. This would have two volumes, without a tone pot or knob. There wouldn't be any visual change to the original 2nd generation Precision's design, other than the added J pup. This bass would have to be made of ash, and have rosewood for a fingerboard.

One more would be a fretless second generation Precision, equipped with only a mudbucker in the neck position(like the 70's Tele basses). This would be passive with volume and tone pots, ebony fingerboard/ash body. The hardware would be vintage RI tuners, and a first generation nickel bridge plate, combined with second generation saddles, to make the bass sound as woody as possible. A version of this same bass, but a soapbar instead, would also be an option.

Lastly, I think it'd be great if Lace and Kubicki were once again associated with Fender.

All great suggestions, but I'd like to see you get your supply chain figured out. 3 of the 4 telecaster offerings are out of stock.

"You can have any telecaster pickup you want as long as it's vintage noiseless."

I was very saddened to see "We're sorry but the store is only open to U.S. customers." or something to that effect.I was hoping to see if there was a strictly "L" series type pickup set available rather than the 57/62 sets. How do those of us who are faithful Fender players avail of Fender parts and accessories now? It doesn't prove to be very profitable for Canadian and foreign dealers to order one set of pickups, one T-shirt,one cap etc. or to take a gamble and order in multiples of certain Fender accessories etc.,so most dealers will tell you quite frankly that they won't send an order to Fender of other guitar maker for that matter, until they get enough orders to make it "worth their while".My buddy and forum member Blinkers encountered this himself and was waiting for over 3 months for a set of replacement pickups to arrive. The dealer told him that it would take a week to 10 days and asked for the money up front because they'd "been burned on orders before",he found out later that they subscribed to the "Wait until we get enough orders to make it profitable." way of doing business. We Fenderphiles North of the border are at the mercy of the whims of dealers and consequently are hesitant about ordering anything from them-even the national chain.

It is, but it's a bit like asking a restaurant to serve Belhaven on tap, when they don't even have a tap.
In other words, any humbuckers would be a good start, from which to go to more unique choices.

The angled single coil pick up on Strats and Teles are the magic I hear. This is a very special tone you will only get from this Fender design. I changed it to active pups keeping that unique sound. I need more range at times and the Tele Custom with two stock humbuckers cover things.

I love the sound of a Strat with the three single coil pups! The bridge angle pup is the to die over, I use the fourth position the most. There are enough guitars with humbuckers in high prise range and hell real cheap that can make any happy. I wish that the Strat was left perfect. The second position with the bridge and middle really kicks it.
The Telecaster is the most use able guitar on earth, it does it all. I bought a tele custom new in 1973, the second year they made them. The set up is the same as a les paul, except the tele sounds better. I rarely use my 1969 LP, I worry the head will snap off in front of a crowd of people at a blues club or a county fair.
It sit in it's case. My tele is my first pick of all my guitars for recording giggs and practice. The first time I had it a part was a couple weeks ago to replace the pots. It is a work horse!
