Otherwise, I am sure the good folks in the Mustang Amplifiers forum, just a few steps further down, would know.

Now, Buxom... compared to an old Peavey with a 10" speaker..? And yes, I own one of those, too.

I'm just having a laugh at the presets.

If you dump those for good models, they're alright.

But I don't think you can - they are always modeling, and while you can reassign to your heart's content, you have to pick one of the pre-existing models as a base. There's no "clean", so to speak.

I'm wondering if O.P. meant Mustang series amps v1 and v2, not Mustang I and Mustang II.

If that is the case, it partially depends on which Mustang (I, II, III, IV, V).

The main difference with the Mustang III v2 is the addition of XLR outs. And the "carbon-tweed" exterior has been changed to a more traditional tolex look (Black Textured Vinyl). Also the text on the control labels is in a different font, with the text moved around a little.

v1:

v2:

All Mustang amps in v2 now feature added amp models (’57 Twin, ‘60s Thrift, British Watts, British Colour, Studio Preamp).

Also there are new effects in v2 including Big Fuzz, Green Screamer, Orange box, Black box, Wah and pitch shifting.

Given that the topic for this thread is mustang amp, I think we can take it as a given that he doesn't mean guitars, cars, fighter planes or horses.

Thanks wise-guy, but read it again.

Mustang AMPS (excluding Mini and Floor)

Mustang I v1
Mustang I v2
Mustang II v1
Mustang II v2
Mustang III v1
Mustang III v2
Mustang IV v1
Mustang IV v2
Mustang V v1
Mustang V v2

Now do you suppose by 'version1 and version2', O.P. was referring to:

a. Mustang I and II v1
b. Mustang I and II v2
c. Mustang 1-V v1 vs. v2.

More Model choices and stomp boxes to choose on V2. Not an amp that I would like, there are better choices.
