I'm writing a book sequel to the famous best selling Steven King book Christine, It starts off with me, the second main character besides Christine, I have a bad day at school, and I walk to the local junkyard, I see a run down red 1958 Plymouth Fury, I saw the movie before I walked there, and I offered the guy $2 for the car, he took it, and gave me license plates with her, I started her up and drove her home, My mother was pissed but I said "I am having this one thing! I can fix her up!" and she just said fine! and I fixed her up week by week, and this is only one part of the book, I end up moving into my own house a few months later, with a bunch of televisions and a lot of my other hobbies in there as well, Christine sits in the garage, And one night I was woken up by sounds of banging and smashing windows, and the bullies were smashing Christine O.o so I said "go get em Christine!!" and she started up and drove after them, regenerating as she went by, she splattered one of them and left another injured, and the third one got away so I walked up to the injured bully, and said "Never. Ever.. Trash my car again!" and the bully said "Christine?" and I said "yep, now go away and pick on someone your own size!" Christine went back into the garage she was sitting at and I went back to sleep, and this is one part of the book, just thought I'd give you guys a teaser :P

Reminds of the old Star Trek episode "Whom Gods Destroy":

Marta: Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?/Thou art more lovely and more temperate/Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May/And summer's lease hath.
Garth: You wrote that?
Marta: Yesterday, as a matter of fact.
Garth: It was written by an Earthman named Shakespeare a long time ago!
Marta: Which does not alter the fact that I wrote it again yesterday!

Yes, it sound like copy infringement to me.

I am pretty sure this falls into the slop bucket named fanfic.
Fanfic makes authors groan, because they can't really go after their own fans without risking being portrayed as heartless ogres and losing sales. The general consensus seems to be that as long as you keep the stories short, make it abundantly clear that it's fanfic, and don't publish it in a way anyone makes money on (including on ad-revenue based web sites), most authors and publishers pretend they don't see it.
For overly erotic materials (like slahsfic), also keep it out of the eyes of minors and general public.

And the authors certainly don't want to read fanfic, no matter how good it is. The risk is that if an author does read it, and later writes something that's even remotely similar to plots, characters or phrases that the fan used, the fan can turn around and sue the author. And win.

Yes, fan fiction is a gray area. There are fanzines that publish fanfic for sale, both in print and online. But those are tiny outfits run by people who don't have a lot of money (so even if they get sued they don't lose a lot). Most of it is just online for free.

No large publisher will touch the stuff unless the piece in question has the approval of the copyright holder (Stephen King in this instance). Some copyright holders are fine with fanfic, others hate it. The estate of J.D. Salinger sued the pants off some English guy who wrote a story about a 76 year old Holden Caulfield. But other authors embrace it.

Since Christine was destroyed at the end of the book & movie, this can't really be a "sequel" per se (unless you somehow address her being uncrushed and restored). Perhaps a prequel, but it sounds more like a reboot.

Well, She regenerates in the start of the book, It starts with me finding her in a junkyard, and I buy her for $2 and she was dead MINT in there, so I want to actually make a sequel to it, I'm the new owner of the car in the book, so yeah, I did reuse some of the characters from the original book, Though mine isn't as gorey as Kings was, I'm thinking of adding a part where a cop pulls me over for speeding, and the cop gets killed by Christine, But this is only a part I am thinking of, What do you guys think I can add into the book? Gimme some suggestions?

I'm thinking that since you are in Australia (obviously, I was joking about the Wizard of Oz thing. :P ) that you should incorporate a Mad Max theme into it, since Mad Max 4 is coming out in 2015. It could be the replacement vehicle for the one lost in Road Warrior.
