I watch youtube all the time, checking out bass players. I can't help but think most of them would sound better with a Fender.

Brand X won today. Pulled the trigger on an Orange CR50BXT as opposed to a Fender Bronco 40, to run my Fender VI through. It may have been the other way 'round IF Guitar Center stocked the Fender amp, but its only available as 'ship to store'. No way to A/B these two and I wanted to take advantage of the sale.

Let me be the first to congratulate you Doc, Orange is a serious amplifier!

Seconded. My main practice amp is the guitar counterpart to this amp, the 35LDX. It's the best small solid state amp I've used, in terms of sound quality. While my Tiny Terror is a better amp, it's also has to play loud to hit the gain crunch sweet spot. Which isn't always an option in a home. That's where solid state amps come in handy.

Cudos appreciated. I ran an American Standard Strat through it as well just to see what it would do with a guitar. Had no issues with that at all. It bugs me, where the big box stores and Fender are concerned that so little of Fender's line is available.

I think part of the issue is how big Fender's line is. Carrying every amp that Fender makes takes up a lot of floor space. So most stores may not have much of a choice but to opt for just the most popular models.
I also think the wind is blowing for British boot-in-your-face sound right now - Marshall and Orange gaining some extra popularity.

I think you'll like the Orange. It's not tube sound, but it's definitely good solid sound quality, especially for the price you paid!

I bought an Orange amp. It was black.
I bought a Blue mic. It was orange.
The mind boggles.

Ditto on the Fender conclusions. Unfortunately, much of their new product never shows. What's the point if outlets like Guitar Center don't carry a wider range of the line. They're pretty much defining and controlling the end user.

Have a Yellow Crate Taxi, a Black Crate Limo, and a Silver-gray ZT Club. Thought an Orange Orange would be cool. Gonna run guitar through it too...See if I can borrow some of that old Fender Bassman feel for blues with a Mustang Floor in the chain.
