I know this is a (very) stale post, but I'm gonna revive it.

These little guys are awesome shortscale Strats. They used to sell for about $600 new! A bit more than the MIM Strat Standards. I am the lucky owner of a black one, and it's not for sale.

But, it is the second one that I have owned here in Toronto. I sold the first one I owned, which was dakota red and had been modded with a 2nd volume control, like its full sized big brother. Point is, that these things are around, even if they are exceedingly rare.

A bit more info:

Quote:
The Strat That's Not So Fat!

The FENDER® Stratocaster® Jr. is no play toy! This downsized Strat® (with a 22.72" scale neck) comes with an alder body and a maple neck in a modern C shape. The Stratocaster Jr. is also loaded with 3 Standard single-coil pickups, 5-way switching, and chrome hardware.

Second image shows a true MIM Strat Jr. beside the much less expensive (and lower quality) Squier Mini Strat

Are they intended for a particular use? Or is this more of a collectable item.

If only they'd been around back in the '60s when The Who hit the scene.

Think about how much farther Pete Townsend would've been able to throw it.
