Hey all,

We've rolled out quite a few new bass guitars over the past few months and wanted to take a few minutes to highlight our recent additions to the Modern Player series—the Modern Player Jazz Bass® guitar and our brand-new Modern Player Dimension™ Bass guitar—as great affordable options for your holiday wish lists!

Available as a four- or five-string model, the latest Modern Player Jazz Bass has been updated with a throaty set of Modern Player Jazz Bass humbucking pickups along with a versatile four-position rotary switch to let you access a wealth of pickup combinations. On top of the new sonic features, it also comes in a number of new finishes.

Along with bold new body shape, the Modern Player Dimension Bass features a versatile Triplebucker™ pickup for a complex array of high-output tones, along with an equally versatile five-position rotary switch and quick-and-easy truss rod adjustment wheel.

Thanks again for checking in, all! As always, keep the feedback coming on features you'd like to see. We'll be sure to pass it along.

Both of those basses you pictured here look interesting to me, especially that Dimension bass. I like the fact it has a 21-fret neck, which I wish Fender had more of. Sometimes, you just need that high E. Another thing that would be cool is if the Dimension came with a sunburst finish, too. I have a couple of different instruments in sunburst already and I'd like for them to all match. I'm kind of nerdy like that. :P Either that, or put the 21-fret neck on that Jazz Bass you got there and that would work, too.

It's nice Fender is once again trying to make new guitars and ideas, instead of the usual, "Here's a Strat, a Tele, a Precision, and a Jazz, that's all folks." And a feature I wish Fender would put across all the modern bass lines is string through bodies!! Now I know some of you might whine and complain about how "that's not Fender" but just use a toploader/ stringhough hybrid like the American series, I for one like the extra sustain and thump, and hey, it was on the '51-'54 Precision so it is "Fender".
